Two million payments on the XRP Ledger burned roughly $20 worth of XRP.
That sounds incredible for the network — fast, cheap settlement at massive scale. But it raises a much harder question for XRP holders:
If XRPL succeeds because using it requires almost no XRP… what actually creates sustained demand for the token?
Ripple can win lawsuits, get ETFs, work with banks and build the rails. None of it automatically translates into XRP demand.
Permission was never the finish line. Demand is.
