NC taxi association and Sol Plaatje Municipality reach impasse

Kimberley motorists and tourists visiting the Big Hole can finally breathe a sigh of relief following the resolution of an impasse between the local taxi association and the Sol Plaatje Municipality.

For the past two weeks, taxi drivers have been blocking a road adjacent to the Big Hole.

That’s after the municipality closed it, following advice from De Beers Group about ground movement observed around the historic site.
