Kimberley residents urge Sol Plaatje Municipality to clean all cemeteries across the city

Kimberley residents, who have buried their loved ones in the city’s 11 cemeteries, have implored the Sol Plaatje Municipality to move speedily to clean all cemeteries across the city.

Some who visit the graves of their loved ones regularly have expressed safety concerns due to overgrown grass and some unkept spaces.

The municipality says it’s doing all it can, with limited resources, and has slammed those who vandalise infrastructure at the city’s cemeteries, making them unsafe.
