US President Donald Trump has confirmed the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) will be auditing the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for corruption and waste.
Former Trump senior advisor Christian Whiton has described this as a “great move” and “poetic justice”.
“It’s poetic justice for the IRS to be facing scrutiny since they scrutinise the rest of us,” he told Sky News host James Morrow.
